Xbox Cloud Gaming was relegated to games on Xbox Game Pass, but this week Xbox has extended the service to owned games in a player's library.

Microsoft is starting to open up Xbox Cloud Gaming to existing Xbox game libraries today. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now stream 50 games that they already own, including Balatro, Baldur’s Gate 3, a variety of Final Fantasy titles, and Hogwarts Legacy.

Gamers can now stream a limited catalog of games after Microsoft launched Xbox Cloud Gaming. The feature, first announced in 2019, is available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers with a limited catalog of games.

If you have any of the selected games from the Xbox store -- they're not included as part of Game Pass -- you can now play them via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Xbox finally expanded its Xbox Cloud Gaming service to let Game Pass Ultimate members stream games they own. This new feature is currently available in all 28 countries where the beta program operates.

Since 2020, Xbox has let Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers stream a large selection of games included in the subscription via various devices and apps. For example, if you were a member, you could play the Halo Master Chief Collection on your phone via cloud streaming.

Five years after announcing the feature was on the way, Microsoft has finally launched the ability for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play "select" games they already own outside the Xbox Game Pass library via cloud streaming.
